Advanced Admin Training:  Performing Upgrades

In this video, we’ll cover the steps you can take to upgrade your Content Central to a newer version.  

Like most software companies, Ademero updates the Content Central software regularly with fixes for common issues, improvements to existing functionality, and brand new features.  With a valid maintenance contract, you can upgrade your version of Content Central to the latest version whenever you want.  

To find out the latest version of Content Central, visit the support section of the Ademero website.  The latest version will be available in the lower right-hand corner.  Also, in this section is a set of update instructions that you can download.  These instructions guide you through the steps you can take to perform an upgrade of Content Central, including backing up the database, downloading the latest version of the software, recording important system settings before the upgrade, upgrading the system, and performing a basic capture test after the upgrade to make sure the system is working properly.

IT professionals and advanced users can typically perform a Content Central upgrade without assistance, but if you would like to have an engineer before your upgrade for you, be sure to contact your solutions consultant to schedule it.
